1st Kids Comp of the year

Friday, April 27th, 2007

The windiest Saturday of the year so far saw the start of the Kids Competition season at Chasewater.Force 5 conditions led to the cancellation of the slalom competition, with kneeboarding added to the wakeboarding at the last minute.

Using the new Superair Nautique, over 25 kids braved the conditions and fought to complete their sets in the few stretches of flat water available.

After some great performances by the Chasewater competitors, Ryan Birch won the wakeboard competition, and Craig Morris took the overall prize. Jeff Haddon came third in the kneeboarding, and Scott Quinn took the honours in kneeboard trick.

The day’s competition was followed by a fantastic sell-out Race Night in the clubhouse to raise funds for the Kids Coaching. Almost £300 was raised on the night and many members took the opportunity to camp over.

Don’t forget – the first Saturday kids coaching session starts at 10am on 2 June 2007 – contact Debbie Barker for more information.

The club LPG tank has now been fitted with a fuel monitoring system. This will enable the club to monitor the amount of gas that is used more accurately and will also be a lot less hassle for our members when they are refueling their boat.

Anyone using the club LPG tank will now need to obtain a key from Jason, call him on 07966 220368
